INTERBEV (Interprofession du Bétail et des Viandes) is the French National Interprofessional Association for Livestock and Meat, founded in 1979 by representative organizations of the livestock and meat sector. INTERBEV brings together all professional families in the bovine, ovine, equine, and caprine sectors, from production to distribution, representing the various trades within the livestock and meat economic sector. These include farmers, live animal traders, producer groups, livestock markets, slaughterers, slaughterhouses, wholesalers, processing industries, distributors (traditional butchery, large-scale retail), and collective catering.
