Information
As part of the Entr'ACTES project, sixty interviews were conducted with livestock farmers and their assistants in three different study regions (Brittany, Pays-de-la-Loire, Centre) to gain a better understanding of what it means to be a livestock farmer in 2023. The results of this survey help us to understand how farmers and their employees see their job, the satisfaction they derive from it and the difficulties they face today. This information also tells us about the place of social issues (the environment, human well-being, human-animal relations, etc.) among farmers' concerns, the changes in practices they are making or refusing to make, and their support needs. They help to identify the ways in which these social issues are difficult for some farmers to accept and share, and are a source of discomfort, or, conversely, are widely integrated and taken into account by others.
