How pig breeding complements herbivore farming.
The pig, this omnivore, is able to valorize all plant products but also co-products resulting from the transformation of milk. This droppings, in the form of slurry or manure, provide the necessary nutrients for cereals, but also for meadows intended for herbivorous breeding. Finally, through the methanization of pig effluents, pork is a source of renewable energy.
