Information
The results of eight trials between 2019 and 2021 are unanimous: chicory, plantain and sainfoin perform well but are not a means of combating digestive strongyles in meat and dairy sheep. This is the conclusion of a study carried out as part of a CASDAR-funded project looking at the benefits of grazing plants with bioactive secondary metabolites, including condensed tannins, to limit sheep parasitism. In addition to the trials, numerous on-farm monitoring studies have been carried out, and all the results will be presented at this conference.
