The search for an alternative to the use of cereal straw for livestock litter is a challenge due to repeated climatic hazards. With drought episodes, straw can sometimes run out and its prices are incresaing. Different materials that could represent an alternative to it have already been tested: wood chip and bark, miscanthus or dolomite. Feedback on these substitutes and their use in beef cattle.
