SOBAC develops fertilization techniques in perfect harmony with environment, based on quick and natural production of humus. These agronomic solutions were developed in the 1980s by Marcel MEZY, a farmer from Aveyron. They enhance the natural fertilizing resources of the soil allowing to reduce or even eliminate the need for chemical inputs, while maintaining the same yields.
The many induced effects of this method go far beyond the fertility stage. They affect positively the quality of plant productions, the health of livestock and, consequently, that of consumers.
In livestock farming, SOBAC solutions focus on the relationship between soil, plants and animals, to produce high-quality forage, beneficial to both animal health and product quality.
For crops, they substantially reduce, or even eliminate, the use of fertilisers and pesticides to enhance the nutritive quality of the products, boosting both quality and yield while respecting the environment (Link to carbon capture, reduction of leaching, protection of water tables, etc.).
Whether agronomic, economic or environmental, the solutions proposed by SOBAC have met all the requirements anticipating sustainable development ahead of time. They are mainly aimed at agriculture but also at general public and local communities.
"for the soil, for a long time".
