ARVALIS is an agricultural applied research organization dedicated to field crops. ARVALIS is the largest applied agricultural research organization in France and the leading technical referent for field crops. Its mission is to gather knowledge and bring useful innovations to producers of straw cereals (common wheat, durum wheat, barley, triticale, rye, oats, rice...), corn (grain, seeds, sweet) and sorghum, potatoes, fodder, flax fiber, tobacco, and associated economic sectors. Created by farmers and the sectors that finance it, the institute contributes to developing the production of grain and quality food and non-food raw materials for national and international markets. Independently, ARVALIS mobilizes its expertise for the emergence of agroecological production systems that combine economic, social, environmental and health performance.
