The African market for livestock products remains largely unexplored. What do we know about these markets beyond international trade statistics? Who are the consumers of milk and meat, and what are their preferences and quality requirements? What is the share of local products in household consumption, and what are the future prospects for these markets?
These questions will be addressed at a round table that brings together researchers in economics, sociology, and animal science, as well as milk and meat processors based in Africa.
