CELMAR: Pioneer of the Red Label and short circuits.
Based in La Souterraine, CELMAR has been bringing together breeders from Limousin, Berry and Poitou since the late 1960s. This cooperative was created by breeders who wanted to promote their products in a solidarity and direct way, by reducing intermediaries. Pioneers in the implementation of a Red Label for beef as early as 1970, they have been committed to promoting short circuits and continuous quality improvement. CELMAR is today a model of fair cooperation with active participation in processing tools.
