Description
The FarmDroid FD20 is the world's first fully automatic robot capable of both sowing and mechanical weed control. We're helping farmers and growers to reduce sowing and weeding costs, while doing it in a CO2-neutral and environmentally-friendly way. It is powered by solar panels that ensure 24-hour operation without recharging. It uses RTK GPS signals to record the location of each seed on each row at the time of sowing and then carries out mechanical weed control between rows and on the row. This unique precision at sowing allows the crop to be cleaned very closely, minimising or even eliminating the need for manual weeding. The four solar panels generate energy for a set of batteries, providing up to 24 hours of operation.
