Weighing at the FeedStation

Description

The ScaleUnit module is integrated into the FeedStation and weighs dairy and beef cows on a daily basis. The concept is to simply take advantage of the passage of the animals through the DAC. Weighing is carried out without constraint, without handling for the farmer and without the need for a restraining corridor. ScaleUnit DAC weighing enables cattle farmers to: - Maintain sufficient body reserves for an optimum calving interval, - Specify the ration in response to the animal's own metabolism, - Early detection of disease, based on a short-term live weight study. Sudden weight loss is often a warning sign of poor health. An animal that is limping, for example, is seeing its body reserves diminish. - Monitoring growth and GMQ. Weights are stored in the animal's card. Displayed on a curve, the farmer can check the history for each animal. - Live visibility of weights when the animal is in the station. Like all Hanskamp solutions, the ScaleUnit is very easy to use and requires very little maintenance.
